Archive for August, 2016

Ben and Holly were married August 13, 2016 at a family farm in Fallis, Alberta. This was a small wedding with many unique details. From the bride doing the hair of her bridesmaids (because that’s what calms you down when you are a hairdresser) to the release of butterflies for their family (both here and in spirit) all the details we wonderful. Even the details they couldn’t plan like the stormy sky opening up and shining bright on their first dance.

This lady is so special to me it was an honor to shoot this wedding and be part of it.

Wishing these two all the best in life and their new family and adventures.

Holly is my niece and when her and Ben got engaged one of the first things she did was ask me to photograph the wedding. I don’t normally do weddings, but she wanted the pictures to be taken by someone special so I agreed to do it. With the wedding quickly approaching we realized we should do some engagement shots. But between our three schedules it was getting tough, but we were able to make a day work.

The day was threatening rain, and very windy – but the rain held off until after we were finished.

On a personal note I am so proud of these images – some of them look even better than I hoped <3.

I can’t wait for this wedding!!!
